What is the assignment of God's Peace
Teacher: Pastor Ronnie L. Holly Sr.
John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Summary of last week's lesson
We deal with challenges daily.
God has to equip and prepare us for spiritual warfare.
Faith doesn't change, we do; faith does grow. How does it grow?
Faith comes by hear and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
You have to exercise it and use it. Faith wants to be used, but when you begin to question God; doubt sets in.
When you activate faith, it begins to grow and comes alive.
Today's lesson: What is the assignment of God's peace?
Peace is not just a word, it works.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Our flesh gets in the way and our eyes look at the circumstance and not on the word of God.
God wants to keep your heart and mind. Your mind is where the battle starts.
The enemy tries to steal what God has planted inside of you.
When does peace work? All the times, but it won't work until we let it work.
It's not just about reading and studying the Word, but seeing the Word come alive.
Student comment: Peace calms, then it corrects, then directs, and then it changes.
Student question: Is there levels of peace?
Answer: It's how you allow it work and open it up. Faith doesn't change and peace doesn't change. Peace comes from the Author.
He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)
We put on the Armor of God and have to be prepared, but understand God has your back! We sometimes start our day unprepared and unready.
We tend to take things that God gives for granted.
Homework assignment: Research on your what is the purpose of peace and bring it to next bible study.
